grey striped maxi dress

The other day I realized I haven't posted any pictures of my favourite go to dresses for summer!  I know it's September now but the weather still feels summery so hopefully I'll get a few more wears out of my dresses.

I like this grey maxi in particular because it's so comfy.  This outfit is something I wear for errands or to the cottage on weekends.   Unfortunately the neckline was super low but I fixed it by making my own cropped tank top to wear underneath.

Hat: Walmart
Dress: Stitches
Tank top: Old Navy
Sandals: Birkenstock

Let me talk about my hat...I have had a love/hat relationship with hats for several years because I didn't like the way I looked in them. When my hair was much longer I wore hats occasionally but since cutting it short I feel like hats just cover my hair and make me look bald. But I wanted a hat to wear on hot days and my mom assured me this one looks okay.

Since this is a very casual look I keep my makeup simple and usually don't wear my Pandora bracelets.  I also rock the Birkenstocks like there's no tomorrow!  I think this dress will transition
nicely into fall if paired with some flats and a cardigan.

Check back soon for some more of my fave summer dresses!
